A Severson Thanksgiving was recorded Thanksgiving weekend of 2022 on a Sony camcorder that I’ve had since middle school. The film documents a rare trip to see my mother’s side of the family for the holiday. It’s one of my first forays into documentary filmmaking, with an almost found footage quality to its assembly. The edit was completed just in time to give to my mom as a Christmas gift that year.
