Drowning

Drowning, 2024 (Album); Composed, Performed, Produced

As climate change quickens and sea levels begin to rise, Drowning delves into the harsh impact that climate change has had on the island of Martha’s Vineyard, as well as the future of the island itself. The score is mostly composed with synthesizers and recorded samples, this project was my first time using a physical tape recorder to sample, resample, and loop sections of the music. The noise and warble evident in tape production was meant to represent the sound of the island itself as its beauty is sinking deeper and deeper. I did post production audio mixing as well for dialogue and sound effects.
