Mitochondria was made after my high school graduation, in the summer of 2020. Due to covid restrictions, it was made almost entirely by me (with the exception of my mom holding the camera for a few shots, thanks mom) and shot on iPhone 6. The project was submitted as my five minute submission on college applications and ended up securing my place in the Syracuse University film program. The film follows a scientist in an arctic lab monitoring the experiments being kept there while trying not to lose his sanity.

In 2023, I remade all the sound for this project. Recording all new foley with a Zoom H6 and a Shure SM57 and Beta 58A and mixing and mastering everything in Logic Pro. I also composed and created a new soundtrack, taking the tone out of the covid centric time the film was originally made in, and into a direction more indicative of my growth as an artist and nostalgia for that time.
